LegaLogic advised Agarwal Business House in acquisition of Crossword Bookstores from Shoppers Stop

LegaLogic Consulting advised Agarwal Business House (http://www.agarwalpune.com/agarwal_business_house.html) in acquisition of Crossword Bookstores (https://www.crossword.in) from Shoppers Stop (https://www.shoppersstop.com) for INR 41.60 Crores.

Shoppers Stop, which operates over 80 department stores across India, sold its subsidiary Crossword Bookstores to Agarwal Business House (ABH. ABH will take over all the assets and the brand. Subject to receipt of necessary approvals, Shoppers Stop will divest 51% stake (expected to be completed within 15 days) and another 39% in the next 12 months.
